Our Wooden Carport Kits
We build our single and double bay wooden carport kits to suit the needs and requirements of our customers. So, whether youâre looking for a simple design that covers storage for just one car, or needs a larger, more complex carport that offers bespoke elements (such as a flat roof, or extra storage spaces), we will prepare the kit you need.
If youâre in a trade such as building or carpentry, or even if youâre just looking for a reliably hardwearing and cost-effective space that you can build yourself, we know that we can help. Weâll also be ready to make any bespoke designs you have planned out a reality.

Preparing a Wooden Carport for Easy Assembly
All of our wooden carports are primed and prepared for a quick, easy installation using a series of traditional jointing techniques. This allows each part of the timber frames to slot neatly together during construction, resulting in an easier build for those with experience.
To assist in the process, weâll provide easy-to-follow assembly instructions with every kit we make. We can also make planning drawings available on request, in the event that you need to make an application.

Will a Wooden Carport Need Planning Permission?
In most cases, itâs unlikely that your wooden carport will need planning permission. This is because most designs will fall within the terms of permitted development. However, if the design is larger or more complex than standard, there is a chance that it may need both planning permission and Building Regulations approval.
To learn more about rules on permitted development in your local area, please contact your local building authority and ask. If you need to make an application after speaking to them, we will be happy to assist.

Why Choose The Garage Specialist?
Weâre passionate about the exceptional products we can provide for our customers across the UK, and there are many reasons weâve always been the top choice for professionally crafted wooden carports and garages:

Our Timber is Sustainably Sourced
All of our products are made from the highest quality green oak and Douglas-fir timber we have available, and all of this is sustainably sourced from a dedicated site weâve selected in France. The trees on this site are cultivated to be as tall, straight, and strong as possible, so more of the wood can be used in our work and less is wasted.
For every tree used, we will also make sure that three more are planted in its place to keep our work sustainable.

We Meticulously Grade all Timber
When the wood arrives at our workshops, it will first be thoroughly checked over and graded by our team of experienced carpenters and skilled timber graders.
Theyâll look for any flaws, warps, or other faults that could affect the structural integrity of any wooden carport or garage kit, so that these pieces can be removed before we move on with our work. This ensures that only the strongest pieces ever make it into our products.

We Carry Out Precision Manufacturing
We use state-of-the-art machinery at every stage of our work, starting with specialist scanning during our timber grading process to check for the smallest weaknesses that the human eye could miss. It then carries on as we begin the manufacturing stage, with equipment that allows for precision accuracy when cutting timber frames.
This all helps us to rule out human error during the creation of a kit, so you can feel confident in knowing that your purchase will be as durable and as easy to build as weâve promised.

Our Q-Mark Certified Process
Our commitment to offering top quality single and double garages and carports in fine green oak and Douglas-fir, and this is demonstrated in what we provide for our customers. Everything we can offer is made to a process set out and certified by BM TRADA, the industry provider for global testing, safety, and calibration. Itâs also one of the strictest certification panels in the UK, so you may rest assured that any wooden garages or carports youâve ordered from us will have been made to industry standard.

Our Prices
Prices for wooden carports will vary, depending on your specifications and what you need to see in your finished design. The size and complexity of a kit will usually be some of the determining factors in how much youâll pay at the end. For example, you can expect to pay more for a double garage-style two bay carport with a bespoke flat roof than you might for a ready-made, single garage-style one bay carport with a regular pitched roof.
When you choose to use our service, weâll work closely with you to plan out your ideal carport design and calculate how much it will cost to build the kit based on the features youâve noted. This should result in you only paying for the features you want and will use, and nothing else. Whether that is a flat or tiled roof design, or a bespoke single or double bay port, is completely up to you.
