Priming Our Kits for Easy Assembly

We craft all of our wooden frames using a series of traditional jointing techniques, preparing them so that they’ll slot neatly together during the building process. This means that, with some DIY experience, you should be able to put your own oak building together and have a garage ready and waiting for you in a short amount of time. 

To help the work process along, we will also provide assembly instructions with each of our oak frame garage kits. We’ll also be ready to provide planning drawings upon request, if this is necessary to see your project completed and your garage fully installed.

When the wood arrives at our site, it will be meticulously checked and inspected by our team of skilled and experienced carpenters and timber graders. Precision Cutting

We use state-of-the-art machinery throughout our work processes, starting with scanning each piece of timber to check for tiny fractures the human eye would otherwise miss. When cutting our frames, the most suitable technology also ensures precision accuracy when every frame is made.

Planning Permission for Your Timber Frame Garage

Many of our customers in the UK have the same concern: whether or not their timber frame garage will need planning permission before they get started on building. In most cases, we can answer that a small, single-storey wooden garage on your property should not need planning permission.

However, this may change if you’re planning on adding a larger or more complex build to your property. A garage with a room above it, for instance, is likely to need planning permission because of its height. There are also stipulations in place if you’d like to build the garage close to a property boundary, or if it’ll be placed next to a building on designated land (e.g. an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, or a national park).
